WAREHOUSE MANAGER
Salary commensurate with experience
DVT Group is currently seeking a warehouse manager for Mississauga, ON location.
Job Description
The warehouse manager will be responsible for the following duties:
- Maintaining 100% accurate inventory, through daily management and a routine counting cycle of stock
- Managing the reception, handling, distribution and storage of all product and supplies entering and exiting warehouse
- Organizing the warehouse to optimize space, simplify picking and storing operations, and prevent loss of damage of inventory due to handling
- Proposing and implementing cost reduction principles in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
- Maintaining appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials
- Maintaining all warehouse equipment
- Maintaining housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area
- Ensuring that workplace health and safety requirements are met
Requirements
The ideal warehouse manager will have the following experience/skills:
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager capacity
- A valid forklift license
- Computer skills — MS Office 2007
- Knowledge of WHMIS and other safety and legal processes for the warehouse environment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to effectively manage time, resolve conflicts and make effective decisions
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem solving and administrative skills
